It is our pleasure to invite you to an Evening of Videopoetry, a screening of student works created within the elective course Videopoetry.
The screening will take place on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in room R–P16 (the so-called Blue Room).
Selected video works created during the academic years 2024/2025 and 2022/2023 will be presented. These works were produced within the elective courses Videopoetry and Creative Approaches to Film and Video, under the mentorship of Kristina Horvat Blažinović, PhD, Professor of Art, and Andrijana Kos-Lajtman, PhD, Full Professor.
The video works explore the themes of videopoetry and video self-portrait. As videopoetry functions as a hybrid genre that realises the poetic experience through a combination of three elements – image, text, and sound – the courses encouraged students, through a series of exercises, to refine their sensitivity to poetic texts as well as their expressive and practical skills for translating poetic experience into a multimedia code. Students independently selected the poetic texts that served as the starting point for their videopoetry works.
