Scientific and artistic research activities
The Centre’s activities are grounded in interdisciplinary research in the audiovisual arts, including film and audiovisual literacy. The aim is to connect scientists and artists of diverse profiles and to encourage the development, visibility, and application of research and artistic outcomes.
Activities include:
• Developing and implementing scientific, artistic, and professional projects
• Advisory support in preparing project applications for national and international calls
• Organising cultural and artistic events
• Disseminating results through publications, gatherings, artistic events, and online channels
• Providing research infrastructure, audiovisual collections, databases, and technical resources
• Activities aimed at strengthening the Centre’s scientific and artistic production

Professional and educational activities
The Centre contributes to the development of teaching and professional development in the field of audiovisual arts and to the education of students and young researchers.
Activities include:

• Updating teaching content and study programs
• Developing educational and artistic programs
• Organising workshops, seminars, summer schools and other forms of professional development
• Providing support, guidance, and mentorship to students and early‑career researchers in their scientific and artistic work

Cooperation and partner networks
One of the Centre’s key objectives is to foster national and international cooperation in the audiovisual arts and film literacy.
Activities include:

• establishing partnerships with domestic and international institutions
• participating in national and international research networks and projects
• researcher exchanges, study visits and guest appearances
• engaging in strategic processes and public debates relevant to the Centre’s field of activity
